Dear Artic,
Most of the new DVD players will play all versions of burned DVD's. Depending on the quality of the burn will determine the picture quality. Burn slow, better quality. Let us know, junkdk

I use a Sony drive myself. Here is a link for CNET. They offer reviews for a wide variety of drives. dvd drives Also in case you were looking for something as a home dvd player look at these: Home sets Hope this helps...
