I'm skeptical, as everyone should be (IMO) about downloading ANYTHING I don't know everything about. After some research, I downlded EVERYTHING.
GREAT GOOGLY MOOGLY.
IT'S FAST. Very useful. And FAST.
Thanks -

Just downloaded everything. Wow...and that truly is an understatement! This thing is awesome. On a 200 gig HD, partitioned into 4 drives, this thing finds whatever I type into the search box instantly. If I didn't know better, I'd swear the results were there before I finished typing!

That's amazing, Andrew. Soooooooo quick. Desktop search and desktop companion can be tedious.

" The database of Everything is on the Most Wanted List of hackers as it lists all your files."

Just something I read; the database is not encrypted and therefore vulnerable.

Any thoughts, apart from firewall protection, or is the comment just BS.

Pffft... nuts. Anyone who already has enough access to your machine to get at the database file is not likely going to waste their time using the database file to find where you stash your naughty pictures; they're going to target system files and installed applications, which are rarely not in the same place on every machine running Windows (C:\Windows, C:\Program Files, etc.)

Wow. By far way better than Windows search. It is awesome. Also, it does index it when you do the first search. but the space it takes to index is a WHOLE lot less than what it would with windows. Nice. Thanks a bunch. =D

Beneath wings of darkness, wings of death, I dwell in shadows,
Here I have found a kingdom, here I have found a princess; the princess of darkness.
She's the only one I fear, my princess wrapped in shadows, my princess beloved.

As I understand it, Everything creates its database by only reading the Master File Table of a partition. In essence, it looks at the table of contents rather than the whole book.
