Is one big difference between "Everything" and Windows search the fact that Everything only searches File and Folder names while Windows Search actually looks into the documents and email for the search term(s)?

Just wondering.

Just wondering.

From the voidtools FAQ's
QUOTE
1.3 Does Everything search file contents?

No, "Everything" does not search file contents, only file and folder names.

Ah, then while Everything may do everything some need it to do,

it doesn't do everything MS's Search, or some other search programs, do.

It is quick though at what it does do, that's for sure.

I agree.A wonderful program that does what it says it does so fast and accurate.

I have often forgotten where I have put something, and "Everything" finds it in an instant.

You have reservations about this program,John Who? Please don't use it.

Thanks Andrew. thumbup2.gif

For searching within a document, I won't.

Neither will you or AA.
