Hi networking gurus -
I use my home computer to access work via VPN. I had previously been able to access shared network drives without any issue. I added an HP Officejet 6410 to my home wireless network and now can no longer access my office's network share. VPN is not the issue here - I am able to tunnel in, access company applications including Exchange server without any issues. When I try to remap the shared network drive, smething very odd happens.

I'm accessing via Explorer -> Tools -> Map Network Drive
Next, I enter the path of the network share (which worked previusly). I.E. - '\\server name\share'
After about 5 full seconds, I am prompted enter my username/pw to the network share. So far, as expected. After entering my credentials, I get the message "Z:\ is not accessible. Access is denied".
I have confirmed with system admin that I do have rights to the share. Now for the really odd part. When I look at the list of drives via Explorer, the newly mapped Z:\ shows up as "HP OfficeJet 6400 Series(\\192.168.1.3\memory card)(Z:\)"

Obviously I was attempting to add a network share and have no thoughts as to why this is somehow looking at my printer, and local device IP address. Any thoughts would be appreciated!
