I just recently bought a Samsung 3.5 500GB HD (HD502IJ) and I've already detected it using on my mobo Bios as a slave and is connected via SATA. I have another 160 HD installed via SATA and that is also being detected. My OS is WinXP SP2 and it is installed on a 160gb via IDE.
When I installed the 500GB HD I cannot see it under Disk Management nor under my computer but it appears on the task bar where it says I can safely remove the hardware, kinda like being recognized as a flash drive or something.
How can I make my computer recognize the new HDD.
Thanks,

Format it, create at least one partition.
