BleepingComputer.com: Power flashes but doesn´t start

Hi guys!
I made my first rig to work on architecture and landscape with specs that meet gaming demands; roughly, i have a i7, with a sli nVidia 850, 6gb dd3 ram, evga x58 motheboard, windows vist 64 bit ultimate and a TB hard drive. I have an Apevia Warlock 750 SLI ready power supply. I haven´t overclocked any part.

Everything has worked fine until today not even a typical faulty windows crash. When I tried to power my system pushing the power buton fan will flash (light and first spins) and power goes off right away (the Apevia PS has lots of lights...). if I push the button again nothing happens, I need to turn off the protection strip, wait until the blue led/lights in some areas of the mother board go off and then wuehn I turn on the power strip and I push the botton again fans and light flash and go off.

I´m not an expert troublshooting hardware but I feel reasonaly capable to do more with some guidance. so I would ask for some advice before calling apevia or geek squad.

Well...before I assumed that it's a PSU problem...I'd try a different PSU or try that one in another system.

I wouldn't try a suspected bad power supply in another unit.
If the power supply is bad there is a good chance it would fry a motherboard trying to test it.

I would try a known good power supply in the dead unit though.

i took my ps to be tested at a store (i don't have the meters) to confirm or discard the ps as the failing part. if it isn't the ps i'll go to test the mobo next as recommended by the manufacturer.
i hope is the ps of course....
