i want to get xbox live but i use aol and they dont support it but they are doing beta tests but i cant seem to find any info on the price do you know what price range im lookin at
also i have seen ps2 online and the dozens of players must be so proud

why what was wrong with it ive heard its good although i must admit id rather use a pc because of the price (which i still dont know but im guessin is high) but then again pcs dont have halo 2

what so if i buy the starter kit i get twelve months free or do i pay monthly like an internet bill i may sound a bit slow but im just confused ive been told several different things

yeah u get a starter pack which will give you 12months subscription card. when u registe r ull need to have your card details for when then 12months ends. here you can say if you wanna pay monthly or annual after your 12months finishs.
i had live, but got abit bored of it. |

I used to have AOL DSL and my Xbox Live worked fine. Just try the pppoe settings in the dashboard. XBL is great I think. They've done a pretty good job with it.

it didnt work on mine i tried it mught be my router but i checked the xbox live site and it said that aol dont support it yet

Well Microsoft and AOL don't exactly like to get along.
Yes. AOL Broadband now works with X-Box Live. Here's how to make it happen.... If you have a home router that supports PPPoE, you will have to manually configure the router settings by logging into the router (do not use a setup wizard or installation buddy). Follow the manufacturer's instructions to get to the settings. Once there: Select PPPoE. Enter your screenname in the format "screenname@aol.com" and then your password (all lowercase and with any spaces or special characters removed*). Check status to make sure the connection is established before proceeding. Connect your X-Box to the router. Create a network setting in which you choose "Automatic" for all settings. If you still have problems connecting with the game you may have to edit port forwarding on the router. For instructions on this you may need to look on various websites or refer to your router's instruction materials. If you are connecting the X-Box to the DSL modem either directly or through an Ethernet hub or switch: Connect your X-Box to the hub or DSL modem. Create a network configuration setting in which you enter your username and password and select "Automatic" for all other settings. For "username", enter your screenname in the format "screenname@aol.com" and then your password (all lowercase and with any spaces or special characters removed*). *If you are having trouble connecting to the AOL service after doing this, you can try signing on to the AOL service on a PC with the lowercase password to ensure it has been typed correctly. ALSO YOU MUST BE ON A GENERAL 18+ ACCOUNT FOR IT TO WORK |

I've played X-Box Live and although it was fun; i was bored within an hour. To me it seems like all the hype around Halo 2 was just that: hype.
Not that PS2 is all that better; lol, but I think it deserves more credit than X-Boxers are usually willing to give it. |

PS2 i think wasn't designed to well for multiplayer both on and off the net. Only originally has two controller slots. Xbox Live needs some really good games. Halo 2 is swamped with hacker want to be modders. It's no fun anymore.
