I should know this but I think my brain is already on holiday
I have BT broadband & am going off to stay at a friends house . They don't have internet connection but do have a phone line . Can I use the laptop there ? I'm guessing if I bring the router & connect it all up then it's a yes ?

Hello Billee,

In theory it would be possible. Most laptops come with a modem so you can plug directly from the phone line. You will need an internet package set up at the destination. It may be worth getting a modem stick similar to ( http://shop.vodafone.co.uk/shop/mobile-bro...rs=flt_usbstick ) most phone companies do these, as long as you can get phone signal you should be able to get the internet.
Regards,

Alan.
