What's the exact error message, please?
How do you know that your system is not clean?
Can you post a link to your malware situation via HJT analysis?

The exact message is:
"
Svchost.exe error
The instruction at "0x00fed149" referenced at "0x00fed149", memory could be written. Click OK to terminate the program..."
This message appears whenever I log onto the internet and start to browse. The message started to appear after I installed a ADSL modem, previously I had a 56K dial up connection. So figured it must be the installation of the driver of the modem, so i removed it and reinstalled it, but still no change.
After the message appears i have to reset the PC and after the PC restarts, i get the pop up window "Data execution Prevention

I did all that was mentioned in the link, but the error still seems to occur. Modem is Lucent Cell-20A-USB. I searched for the drivers in the website of my ISP and the driverguide.com, its the same files. I believe that the driver is SP1 and my Windows XP is SP2. Moreover, recently when i shutdown my PC, quite often the PC does not shuts down, its stuck at the the "Windows is shutting down" screen.
