For the last week or so, my computer has frozen up, requiring a manual shutoff and system reboot.

Just today I have noticed this error message:

ieuser.exe- Corrupt File: the file or directory is corrupt and unreadable: c:\users\mon\ntuser.datLOGI
Please run the Chkdsk utility.

I did a malware scan and it turned up nothing. The error seems to only pop up when exiting a website, or clicking a link.

.....
Ran chkdsk, don't see the error message anymore, but NOW, tons of windows opened while I was exiting a site.
AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH. My computer took much longer than normal to restart, too......

I just wanted to thank all fifteen of you jerks who took the time to look at my post and not respond to help in any way.

Now, everything is gone, and this computer is off to a "fresh" start.

Thanks so much.

I won't bother coming here again.

Oh yeah, almost forgot one more shout out.

Thanks to Grinler for recommending "House Call"

That did the trick nicely. It removed spyware and EVERYTHING ELSE.

Did you ever think that the 15 jerks who looked at your post might not know the answer?

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around
