switching user name gone

Hi somehow my pc went to admin user and everything changed, when i try to switch user my old name is gone, when i try to create that name it says its there? when i went to sytem/ user profiles top one is admin and second is mine 2.1 gigs and admins is 1.54 mb/ is there a way to get back my settings or fix this thanks, windows xp pro i am running

It sound like there might be some profile corruption. I don't know how? You can try creating a new profile or try renaming your old profile.

Right click on my computer- manage - Local users and groups-

Click (next to File) Action - new user- and create a new user.

You can also rename the old profile name here too.

If this is what you need you could always try a system restore.

hi no luck, all restore pooints fail, will a repair install work or will it leave all the same

Ok think i fixed it, downloaded tweek ui and checked one setting in there under login show a person wich was mine, rebooted and it worked, ps. do you know of any restore programs that are better than that windows restore to dates that work 90% of the time

Great! I'll remember to try that next time. No I don't use or know of any other program.
