Recently, Maplestory is making my computer restart once I click play. I've tried everything here. I use Windows Firewall, and I told it to allow MS. All of my computer specs meet the requirements. I have DirectX 9.0. I scanned for viruses, nothing. I reinstalled it, no luck. I've let my PC rest for at least a hour, nothing. I haven't tried defragmenting, do you think I should? Thanks for any help.

Does this occur in any other games? Have you updated your graphics drivers lately? Have you cleaned the interior of your computer lately? What are your system specs?

I don't have any other games from the same manufacturer installed. My graphics drivers are the latest. I haven't cleaned out the insides for like a year. My specs are on my profile, but if you're too lazy to check:

Windows XP Professional
Service Pack 3
AMD Sempron Processor 3100+
Motherboard: Elitegroup nFORCE3-A
RAM: 2GB
Storage: Maxtor 6L200P0
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200
Soundcard: Realtek AC'97 Audio

Does it happen in other games not by the same manufacturer? It never hurts to clean out the inside of your computer, especially the processor and graphics heatsink/fan.

Could be a virus/worm doing it. I know for a fact that if your ram/CPU isn't good enough, it will stress and restart. In your case, this shouldn't be it Try turning off the auto reset by:

Right clicking on My computer --> advance ---> Settings and uncheck automatically reset.

If you get a blue screen crash write it down (not the whole thing, only Stop and everything after it) and post it.

It should look something like this:

Stop: 0x0000008e (0xc0000005, 0xF57B1B19, 0xBA1DB694, 0X00000000)

SpbbcdRV.SYS – ADDRESS f57B1B19 BASE AT F579700, DATESTAMP 48B7223E.

It may be a corrupted video card.
