Is there a place to forward an email and have it checked for origin and other information ?
I have one and the return address is, "Mafnas Batto" I have a feeling it is from the Philippines.
I have not opened the wordpad.

Unless you know the sender, and are expecting an E-mail, don't open it and delete it immediately. The attachment most likely is a virus or other malware.
You can expand the E-mail header and trace the E-mail's path to the origin, but remember that Spammers are very good at masking the real address.

I concur with jgweed that if you don't recognize the sender and aren't expecting an e-mail from that source, delete it without opening it.
If you really want to see the full header and route information follow these steps:
1) Save the e-mail as a file to your desktop.
2) Close your e-mail program.
3) Right click on the e-mail file
4) Click on "Open With"
5) Chose "Notepad"
The file will open and show the complete header plus routing information.
I do this with e-mails from folks or organizations I know but that I am suspicious of.
I also never open an attachment directly from the e-mail program. I save the attachment to a specified folder, then scan it with at least 3 different kinds of security programs before opening.
