I just found out that FTP comes installed in Vista Ultimate. Someone needs to send me a large number of files through FTP. I need some help to set this up so I can tell the person how to send me the files.
I went into the control panel and turned the FTP, telnet, and TFTP features on. I also opened the FTP 21 & 22 ports in McAfee firewall. Now I have no idea what to do next. Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Lisa

Open My Computer and Right Click on an empty space.
Click Add a Network Location
You will get a new wizard to add a network location which allows you to create a shortcut to a website, an FTP site, or other network location.
Click Next and Click Choose a custom network location.
You will be asked to enter the location of the website. Note: when you give the location address for FTP use the following syntax, (FTP://ftp.yoursitename.com)

Thanks for the suggestion. I had trouble with that though, my computer kept hanging with it. Tried several times. I ended up using FileZilla. Took me all day to get it working behind my router (very confusing), but it is finally working now.

That's good. The second suggestion would have been a third-party program.
