When switching on my computer my monitor does not seem to always pick up the signal so I am left with a black/blank screen. I then have to switch off the computer from the electrical point then restart it and then the monitor picks up the signal, is there anything I can do to fix this and is there another way to switch off or restart the computer using the keyboard?Thankyou for any help,.

The problem sounds like the monitor itself
Something bad with the power supply
Maybe a capacitor or something

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around
