I'm having problems with AVG 8.5, and am working with their tech support.
they're asking me to go into VISTA's event viewer & create a file to send them:

1. Please do the following to create Event History Log on Windows
Vista:

- Start -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Event Viewer.
- Expand the "Windows logs".
- Mark "Application" -> Action -> Save Event as "application.evtx".
- Mark "System" -> Action -> Save Event as "system.evtx".
- Attach both files to the AVG Diagnostic Tool from step 3.

When I get to the 'save event' step, event viewer crashes & won't save to a file.
Any ideas?

thanks
BT

I'm not sure if this will fix your specific problem.
