Hi adz63,

As far as I know, any AntiVirus would still scan hidden folders. This is based on AntiVirus softwares that I've used (including Avast).

Avast can scan hidden files and folders. Avast can scan items hidden in alternate data streams as well.

there are 2 way you protect files in a folder
1) Lock
2) Scramble
if you are using the first method then the scanner will be able to detect the files as well as display the name of the files in the scan results
if you are using the second method then the scanner will be able to detect the files, but it wont be able to display the name of the files as the file names will be jumbled up
