Hi, I'm using Windows Vista Home Premium (service pack 1)

The volume icon isn't showing up on my toolbar for some reason....the volume works fine and I can hear sound but it gets annoying when I have to control the volume by other means because it's not on the toolbar. I tried right-clicking on "start", clicking on "properties" and then "notification area" but when I get there I'm unable to click on "volume." I also tried going to the sounds portion of the control panel and couldn't find anything. I'm hoping this is just some simple option that I'm not finding (I'm not exactly great w/ computers), and if anyone could help me out that would be great. Thank you!!!

Have a look here and see if it helps:
http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vis...-windows-vista/

If you don't feel comfortable editing the registry manually there is a registry hack you can download and install.
