BleepingComputer.com: laptop slowed to almost a standstill on start up

I have seen that it is possible to clean your computer to help reverse slow down of the system, I would like to know does this delete say music files or pictures, and which are the best so called computer clean ups to use. Please be gentle with my computer ignorance I am a begginer but thanks for the help in getting rid of my trojan virus.....although think now i may have too many anti virus anti malware and firewalls installed! was bricking it in case all my bank details etc was really bin read.

Please try a couple of these free online scanners to see if anything has slipped by your protection:
(Be advised that some of these scanners will pickup things in "quarantine" from other anti-virus programs - so review the results carefully)

thanks so much i will have a try at spring cleaning my laptop.....and will tone down my text from now on.
