My (new) computer (window vista) recently crashed, commonly known as the "blue screen". i cant access my computer with ease and if i do i can't log onto internet explorer (it flashes on and off quickly) . i think the problem is my RAM and that i need to make updates to my computer but i can't get access to that either.
most commonly seen blue screen code (stop) is 0x0000008E but cometimes changes to 0x00000050 (0xFFFFFFE8, 0x0000000001, 0x8206783E, 0x00000000) or 0x0000007E.
can someone please help me figure out the problem and solution.
ps. i dnt mind doing a whloe reboot and losing all files, i have a reinstalltion CD.

why won't my laptop work?

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around

thank you for replying, i did a whole system reboot and everything is fine except one thing. I think when i was deleting my files (drivers) i accidentially split the drivers when i was recreating it. i split it into Local Disk (C:) <--main drive and Local Disk (D:) <--which is completely free and wont let anything be added onto it. Disk (C:) filled up really quickly with only default programs. I would like to know how i can merge those two Disks back together if it can be done so i can download my other programs. thanks
