registry entry missing help According to microsoft there missing what you have

Hi all,
More than tree month again i computer was infected, luckily i removed it i found out that there were some modification in my laptop. One of them was that my desktop tab was froze. Actually about this topic i have a open thread in this forum in the section Am i infected?
After some research in the net on "desktop tab" i found out this microsoft article about a missing desktop tab.

And after try to follow the instruction the article above, i realize that a registry entry missing.
what can i do add it or what?

If i have to had it, how should this path be
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
i mean what are all the entries should i have in the explorer hive?

just one thing i have windows home edition xp sp3.
