I need help with my monitor.

I have just re-installed XP Pro. I have also installed SP2. Before I redid my computer, the monitor worked fine. Now all it shows is 800x600 16 colors. I have tried to update the driver, but it wouldn't update.

I am running HP Pavilion 533w.

I don't know if this has been posted and answer, and if it has, I'm sorry for the repeat.

Try removing the old/current video driver (via Device Manager) and then reinstalling it anew (from either the CD or from the website of HP.
