Hey guys,
Just replaced the hard drive, and put a new OS on a Dell Inspirion 1000. I restored it from a Gateway restore CD, and have downloaded the necessary drivers (or so I think.) Anyway, this laptop has wireless, but, whenever I try to launch the Dell Wireless WLAN Card Utility, nothing happens. I went to My Network Places and Network Connections, and each of them does not show the Wireless icon. If I click on "start a new wireless connection" it tries to get me to start a complete network.
There is no windows WLAN program there that I can find. It does have Service Pack 2.

You're going to need the wireless driver for a Dell not a Gateway
