BleepingComputer.com: Can only connect to the internet is safe mode

Hi,
I've been trying for hours to fix a computer that was loaded with malware and now seems to come clean in all the scans I do but still won't connect to the internet. I'm fixing it for someone who bought it used and it doesn't seem to have genuine windows, but he has all his important business records on it. I've used ComboFix, SD Fix, Malwarebytes, AVG, Avast, Dr. Web Cure-all and have removed alot of malware but still no deal as far as the internet is concerned. In normal mode that is.
