Hi all of you out there who know a heck of a lot more about these things than I do!
I have my old hard drive in a 2.5" SATA to USB enclosure and can see all of my old information but can not access it. Yes, this must seem moronically simple to most of you out there but I can not get it sorted out.
Could anyone explain to my simple self:
1) How to change or adjust the permissions so that I may get the wanted information off the hard drive?
2) Perhaps how I could "clean up" this hard drive and then use it as a back up and/or glorified memory stick?
My current system is a very basic HP 550 running Vista. The old hard drive came out of a Dell Inspiron 1750 running Windows 2000.
Many thanks!

You cannot access any of the data there?
