I am using my brother comp Windows NT 98 (it's crap).

I hooked up my mp3 player via usb and nothing comes up and I cannot find it anywhere. When I unplug it though a notice comes up to safely remove device.
I hooked up my Kodak easy share camera via usb and it comes up to install it but says there is no an available driver.

Is it because the comp is 500yrs old? Do I need to install drivers...if so how? How do I fix these problems? Please help:)

Oh can and/or should I install Windows XP?

Since USB is not native to NT, I expect you're using Windows 98, which needs the correct driver for each device. The Kodak EasyShare software needs to be installed for the camera, and what brand of mp3 player is it?

Whether XP would be suitable for the system depends on its specifications.

As mensioned there isn't a Windows NT 98 its either NT or 98.

Before you can use USB devices of 98 you have to set them up. Again as mensioned you need the correct device drivers for the hardware your trying to use. I would also check with the manufacturer or read the instructions if its Win98SE compatible.

If your comp is that old then I wouldn't bother with WinXP just start saving. dry.gif
