my computer started to have quite a funny issue.
I would try to turn it on and it would not do anything except turn on the lights and fan, and some scanning could be heard.
after holding down the button until it turned off and turning it back on many times, it booted succesfully.
the cd drive will not work at start up in order to reboot windows vista.
i have since done deletions, cleanups, and defrags.
now, it will turn on successfully after turning it on, holding the power button until it turns off once, and then turning it on.
however, this works when the cd drive is not clicked in. so, its out like when one is manually putting in a cd.
internet has more connectivity issues (get kicked off network)
i can't seem to use safe mode.
cpu usage tends to be at or near 100%
it's an hp pavilion dv6000
also,
i am notified that avg is turned off or that windows firewall is turned off.
i turn them on through windows, but they will still be considered off.
i do not get this notification everytime i turn on windows, only sometimes.
