I had about 2900 songs in my Itunes library. Tried to sync my ipod and they would not all sync. About 200 had a question mark that they could not be found. Had my neighbor (20 yr old) come over to look. He deleted Itunes and re-installed. Rebuild and used his HD to move over the songs I lost. Now there are no question marks but there are several songs that only play for a second or two beffore moving tyo the next song. Any ideas why?
Note: I have not re-synced my Ipod witht he itunes in case there is a better way to restore teh songs.
Can I rebuild the library from my ipod?
I an running Windows Vista 64 bit.
Thanks

Do the songs that don't play properly have the right time listed still? Meaning, does itunes say that these songs are only a second or two long? If so then it sounds like the music file is corrupted somehow.
You could try one of these to copy from ipod to computer.

I've never tried any myself, but I know there's programs out there that will do this. This for example. http://www.copytrans.net/
I would look around first before trying one out, and make sure it's recommended by people. I'd personally just follow one of the tutorials above first.
