BleepingComputer.com: Disk space

Over the last couple of weeks, my used space has increased by over 2 gigs, but I have not added anything to my system.

I have done all the usual clean ups.

Is there anyway that I can check the system to ascertain what is there ??

Well, probably youre system make a restoration point that too much on your system...

make it smaller...

You might want to have it do a report, then wait a week, and have it do a second report; this would indicate where the growth is.

The advice given between the two of you has enabled me to solve the problem. I thnk !!

Using "windirstat", I ascertained that the growth was happening in "System Volume Information". This contains restored folders.

I went into properites of restore points control and found that space given to restore activity was 100%. After reducing this to 50%, my available space went up immediately by nearly 2 gigs.

I am not much of an expert on Computers, so I hope that what I have done is ok.
