Hi, I am using Windows Vista and I normally use a wireless internet connection, which has been working fine. I was on the road and wanted to plug into an ethernet internet connection, but it would not work. To my surprise, the network connections is missing an icon for Local Area Connection! It has an icon for wireless, and one for my Home Network that I used to have, but have not used in some time.
Using my wireless connection, I have tried re-downloading the network card driver from the HP website, but that did not help. When I take a look in the device manager, it appears to show up fine without any "x" or "!" symbol over the network card adapter, which shows separately from the wireless adapter. Any idea how I can go about fixing this?
Thank you in advance for any help that you may be able to offer!
