No Sound? Please Answer Quickly

I have a computer with an Asus p5p800 motherboard. Ive installed the sound drivers but for some reason, the sound still isnt working. Its not the speakers because they work fine in my ipod. can this be answered ASAP.

Have you checked the device manager to see if the sound device is listed and working properly?

Have you checked all your cables, are they plugged in as they should, in the right places.

If everything checks out fine, try to uninstall the sound-driver and reinstall it.
