So I just downloaded Vegas 9.0b today and I get an error before the program can open saying that theres an internal error in the Common Language Runtime's Execution Engine and that the script host failed to initialize. How do I fix this?

My first step would be to download it again, from a different place if possible, and try reinstalling it. Sounds like the download was corrupted.

Common Language Runtime's Execution Engine

A.K.A .NET Framework. If you do not have it installed, that's your problem. Visit sony's site to see which version is required.
