Posted this in external hardware but someone replied saying it might be from Windows 7 since it happened around when I upgraded from build 7000 to build 7100 and to post it here.
Around ever since I upgraded from Windows 7 build 7000 to Windows 7 build 7100 a few days ago, my mouse is having problems with the buttons (well, I've only noticed it with the left clicking button so far) staying held down.
I can't drag much any more, it keeps acting as if I'm letting go of the mouse then clicking it again. In online shooting games, this is also a problem, since I'll shoot a gun and then it'll stop shooting and shoot again over and over instead of just continuously shooting. When I try to draw with a mouse (not that I'd want to,) the lines keep being dotted lines since my mouse won't act as if it's being held down for too long.
Any way to fix this? I looked at the mouse settings in both Windows control panel and the Set Point or whatever it's called settings that the wireless mouse has, but I haven't found anything to help yet. Some kind of program or something would be nice, too, but whatever helps the issue.
