Hello everybody I was wondering if I can get help with removing this "LiveShare P2P Server 10" removed from my registered services.

This is something that Roxio Media Creator 10 left behind on my system.

What I have tried is running Windows Installer cleanup utility, Ccleaner and hijack this none have not got rid of this service for me.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi .

Have you tried just disabling the service?

How do you know that this service is still on your system?

I see that the link above involves editing the registry. I suggest that you take all precautions normally associated with working in the registry, including backing same up.

Thank you much hamluis for the reply.

I already had the Windows cleanup utility installed and removed the DirectXServiceInstall from there but the service still shows up.

How I know is simply by typing services.msc into the run box and LiveShare P2P Server 10 is there.

The registry tweaks that are provided on the link to Roxio support you provided me with are also steps I have already taken.

Further assistance will be appreciated.

You could try reinstalling the software and then uninstalling it properly...you could try the Nero forums for additional help.

That is the problem I did uninstall it properly and it left the Live P2P Server Service behind on my machine.

And it is a Roxio App rather than Nero.

Perhaps somebody else has any ideas how to remove the service, I am sure it can be done via the registry but not too clear how.

Thanks again any help is appreciated.

Apologies for the reference to Nero rather than Roxio .

Since you seem to insist on editing the registry...I don't understand what's stopping you from doing so.

You do know how to manually edit the registry...correct?
