I use only ATI cards.
I build computers for people to play WOW.
I never install the "catalyst Control Center" .
When I do the installation I select "Custom" & install the drivers only.
I have never had a complaint from anybody that plays WOW.
[I don't play myself]
If you check the device manager you will find that doing a default installation of the software from ATI carries & automatically installs a "Trial version of WOW" among other garbage.

I apologise if I sound angrt. I'm not.
If it were me I would uninstall EVERYTHING but don't let the computer restart until you are done.
go to the device manager & uninstall WOW.
Uninstall the CCC
Go to the Device Manager & uninstall the ATI video adapter[s]
[Don't let the unit restart]
Open My Computer
Open the C drive
look for folders named ATI & delete it
Open Program files & delete all folders for ATI & WOW.
Restart the unit
Reinstall the ATI dsoftware but choose a custom install.
Only install the ATI drivers [& WOW trial if you want it]
Now try it.

In what way?
Did you remove the NVidia drivers before you installed your new card?
EDIT: Nothing wrong with CCC. Except for the first couple of iterations it works fine.

to dpunisher: what i mean is that the graphics are very choppy and pixelated, and there is no difference between the lowest settings and the highest. I am also running at about 9 fps, instead of the old 60 i had with my Nivida 8600. Oh and yes i used DriverCleanerPro and removed all old drivers

I don't install it so people can't "expierment" with settings & keep bringing their computer back because it "dosen't work right" .
Since I quit installing the CCC I haven't had a unit come back for video software issues.

I can definitely understand that.

Nvidia drivers are usually worse then gum on a shoe to get rid of.
Even if you uninstall the video card in the device manager there is sometimes software still installed .
There is a "tool" for removing stubborn nvidia files.
Download it here,
http://downloads.guru3d.com/nVidia---Nasty...wnload-582.html
Remove all the nvidia stuff it finds,

On the AVIVO , after you install the other drivers check the device manager
If you have an unknown device, or one with a ! on it, install the AVIVO .
[you could just go ahead & try installing it.
If it isn't neccessary the install will tell you ]
