BleepingComputer.com: Recurring viruses and google-redirect.com screwing up

Basically for the couple weeks or so, every few days the computer just keels over, and blue screens and all that. I start in safe mode and run a malware bytes scan, and it usually finds 17 viruses, sometimes mroe, sometimes less. I scan a few more times with other thigns, and the computer seems to work again, but sure enough a few days later it happens again.

Also I said in the topic when I am surfing the web (with FireFox) Sometimes websites will go screwy, like I go to click on a link, say to go from one part of a forum to another, and instead of going there a new tab opens u with some advertisement page totally unrelated to what I have clicked. It happens all the time, and never really stops. I'm hoping you guys can help me out.

Worst tech help forum ever. Still nothing, I know you can't be this damn busy. I followed the rules, I've waited, didn't post or ask for help anywhere else, but I've been ignored.

I've waited too long. The infection got worse, It spread deep into system32, blue screen on start up, safe mode MBAM scan it would find the infections and then delete them, on reboot I'd get blue screen again, safe mode scan, there they were again. I couldn't even get them to go away long enough to get online and download anything like combofix. I should have done it sooner, but again I was waiting to be told to use it like your rules state.

Anyway computer is so effed up I had to reformat, BUT THAT DIDN'T EVEN WORK!!!!!!

Now I have to buy a new harddrive. Thanks BC you guys rawk!

While we understand your frustration at having to wait, please note that Bleeping Computer deals with several hundred requests for assistance such as yours on a daily basis. As a result, our backlog is quite large as are other comparable sites that help others with malware issues. Although our HJT Team members work on hundreds of requests each day, they are all volunteers who work logs when they can and are able to do so. No one is paid by Bleeping Computer for their assistance to our members.

Further, our malware removal staff is comprised of team members with various levels of skill and expertise to deal with thousands of malware variants, some more complex than others. Although we try to take DDS/HJT logs in order (starting with the oldest), it is often the skill level of the particular helper and sometimes the operating system that dictates which logs get selected first. Some infections are more complicated than others and require a higher skill level to remove. Without that skill level attempted removal could result in disastrous results. In other instances, the helper may not be familiar with the operating system that you are using, since they use another. In either case, you wouldn't want someone to assist you who is not familiar with your issue and attempt to fix it, would you?
