BleepingComputer.com: Internet Explorer 8

Okay so my computer performed an automatic update and now I have Internet Exlorer 8 which immediately didn't like some hp add ons that I had that came with my computer. I really liked the Smart Web Printing add on and of coarse it doesn't work with IE8. I really could care less about IE8, as a matter of fact I was wanting to switch to another browser all together but my husband and I are having a difference of opinion as to which one or whether to change at all.

I would really like to just go back to the IE6 service pack that I had that came with my computer. I looked for a restore point because I swear I saw "creating system restore point" going before the update started, but when I went to look for it there were no updates at all. My computer is not even a week old and I am still trying to figure out HP (had a dell) and Vista all at the same time.

Forgot one other thing. After my update my free space went from 90% to 80%. What is that all about?

Can someone help me out here?

In your Control Panel, double click on Programs and features.In the top left-hand corner click on View Installed Updates
You should be able to remove it from there

I don't see internet explorer in there at all. Isn't that odd?

In Vista Home Premium default settings.
It's in Control Panel-> Programs-> Uninstall a Program-> then in the blue area on the left of the window labeled "Tasks" Uninstall a Windows Update.
(Took me some searching).

As for trying another browser try them all and see which you like best. Safari, Firefox, and Opera are very popular and good.

No you should revert back to what you had
