Hi,

My computer is becoming a slow starter.
When I take a look at Startup and Services in Msconfig I see that
there is a lot of stuff running that I probably do not need.
Are there any general guidelines about which items can be switched off
without risking to loose any vital functions?

Thank you for your comments,
Martti

A wealth of information and guidance is provided in the STARTUP LIST, tabbed here at the top of the page. If you have any questions about an item, or need clarification, please don't hesitate to post.
Regards,
John

why won't my laptop work?

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around
Do not send me PMs with problems that should be posted in the forums. Keep it in the forums, so everyone benefits
