Hi. I'm new to the forum, so I hope that someone can help.... (Thanks in advance...)
I'm running Vista SP1 on an Acer 4330 laptop. I can't uninstall Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 (Trialware), no matter what I do!
When I tried to uninstall it (from an admin account), I got the message "The language of this installation package is not supported by your system"
I would like to uninstall the program because I already use Office 2003, and don't want to purchase 2007.
Icouldn't do anything from my admin account, so I went to Safe Mode, but got the same result.
How can I get rid of this program?

I've tried it and it is nearly impossible to do such
You would be better off reformatting the computer and not installing it
That's what I did

why won't my laptop work?
Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around

Actually, it's trialware, and I didn't install the full version. It's placed into the default image by Acer.
I'll let you know how the MSKB works.

If I remember correctly, I uninstalled successfully from an Acer and a Compaq with REVO Uninstaller.

Revo didn't work for me
One thing I will say is to be sure to back up any Office documents that you don't want corrupt or go missing

I just installed Revo -- it found 25,872 leftover registry entries and other items related to Office 2007, but I've also got Office 2003 Professional installed, so Revo might be detecting some of that.
What I plan on doing is this:

What I plan on doing is this:
- Back up all of my documents on all of my accounts
- Uninstall Office 2003
- Uninstall Office 2007
- Reinstall Office 2003
- Check to see if anything needs to be restored from backup
- Call Acer support to get 2007 removed from the restore image
