After applying some Vista updates, I restarted my computer. However, These little symbols popped up on my shortcuts that I have on my desktop. Attached is a small screenshot of what I'm seeing. I'd appreciate any and all help as this is really irritating!

I did some searching on Google and found a solution. I'm sorry for any inconvenience I might have caused anyone. I promise to search more thoroughly before posting. This topic can be locked now.

I'll be glad to share what I did:

I downloaded a program called Ultimate Windows Tweaker. Then I went to "additional options", then under "Some additional tweaks", I clicked "Remove arrows from shortcut icons." That's it. ^_^ This program is also good for other useful things you might want to do to your PC, such as personalizing Windows Explorer.
