UNABLE TO VIEW WEBPAGES DESPITE GOOD CONNECTION.

Next door neighbour called round to ask about her pc.

Basically they cant view webpages.

When i went to look they have a belking router with 2 pc's connected wirelessly. Pc upstairs connects ok and can see web pages etc. pc downstairs is connected to the router but web pages cant be seen. Signal strength is exellent.

Running vista which i dont use so couldnt tell them much. Did the usual and rebooted evrything made sure "work offline" wasnt ticked etc but still same.

She says it happened after a windows update.

any ideas guys please

further update is that they were able to use firefox to succesfully so i suppose its not all that bad. Id still like to know whats wrong with IE though for future reference if anyone has any ideas
