The computer: HP lap top. Opperateing system Windows Vista Home Premium Bought 2 days ago from Best Buy. Internet provider: ComCast. Modem: Motorola SB5100. Router: Linksys wireless g 2.4 GHz
My new laptop will not stay connected to the router. I have been through network, then network system, and it says strong signal and have confirmed my password is right. I have recycled the power on the modem and router in order from wall to computer giveing 5 minutes before powering up next item. Every time i do a complete recycle the laptop will work for 2-5 web pages then will say can not display web page. Will click diagnose problem and says No problem was found with your internet connection.
I called Geek Squad and they checked two things and said it was the modem or my router. I asked how can that be as my other two computers have no problems and he instantly went into high tech tecno bable.
Anyone have ideas? I think its the computer because its the only new peice of the puzzle. Geek Squad says its my router and modem. Please help me out.
