Free firewalls list
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic3616.html
shows Outpost 1 as being the one to download.
I use free Outpost 2.7, it is good, no spyware, no calling home, fairly easy to work with and is ok right out of the box.
Considering this post
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic214888.html
maybe it could be added to the original freewares thread.

The newer versions are timed trials. No longer free.

There is a free version available, but it is tricky to get to the right links and NOT get to a timed trial. It is also tricky to get to the link that doesn't go through "TrialPay" which forces you to accept advertising and, I think, even purchased products in order to get to the "free" software.
If you go here: http://free.agnitum.com/trial-pay/
On the left hand side near the top, there is a Blue Button under "Get Outpost Firewall FREE 2009" Clicking on the blue button will take you here: http://download.cnet.com/Agnitum-Outpost-F...&tag=button
Just below the blue button is another link with this text: "Outpost Firewall Free x64 Version" That link goes to a direct download.
Those two links are for the Free 2009 firewall, do NOT go through "trial-pay," are not associated with advertising, and also are not timed trials.

Orange Blossom is correct.
Definitely not timed trials.
I got their first 6.5 free build 2724, then another came out 2725.
No time limits, nothing. It's really a free firewall.
Logging isn't as good as in 2.7 though
2.7 free is also free, no timed trials.
