Hi there,

New to Vista, and well it ain't going to well....

Firstly, the time won't synch (for whatever reason), but that's minor.

However, right now, my new PC is stuck in a wonderful loop of installing updates and restarting. After a bit of googling apparently I need to repair vista va the boot DVD. Fine and simple, right? Wrong, for whatever reason my PC is jsut ignoring the DVD and going straight through the cycle. I have no idea what is going on, any ideas or help. PLEASE? Thanks!

depending on what kind it is also, it may have a recovery partition that the computer looks to for repairs\wipe and reloads. While this doesn't always stop it from seeing the disc, a repair install is not always possible with basic Vista disc
