1. Why did it die?

2. Will it come back? I have heard speculation on youtube that a certain website (forgot exact name) is going to place the client files and try to hijack server files for reimplementation (if that's the right word)

3. Are there old clients still out there? I just want one on my computer just in the case still exist but no one has the client anymore

4. if yes, what is a link to one?
If I'm posting, I probably have something horribly wrong with my computer, there's no obvious explanation for it, that's just the way it is.
