I'm having a problem with Windows Explorer constantly crashing regardless of whether I start in normal mode or safe mode. I don't even get a chance to do anything in either mode, as in 5 seconds Windows Explorer will crash and if I try to run a program it will crash and the Show Details window shows Problem Event Name: APPCRASH and Application Name: Explorer.exe. I suppose this might not be detailed enough but I just can't stay on long enough to do anything. Also, the screen in Safe mode flickers alot in addition to the crashing. I also did defrag the drive yesterday which took ten hours. I had my hard drive for about 3 years, could it be dying? I don't think I have a virus since I have Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 and did a scan a while ago. Also, I'm running Vista x64 Home Premium.
Thanks in advance.
Edit: I also moved my video card to a different PCIe slot a couple days ago so it wouldn't be adjacent to the sound card.
