I game a lot and am trying to cut down on anything that the comp uses including space for backgrounds/wallpapers. I don't want one, I want it blank....and I'm not even sure if 'black' solid color would help...However, somewhere else I read there would be an option for 'no wallpaper' under the solid colors section and I am not seeing it. I want nothing....Why can't I see that good ole NONE that use to be on XP....if anyone can help, please. Step by step if u can, I often miss things unless it's explained thoroughly

hm u really think thats gonna make ur pc faster? Yes a simple background is better than running all sorts of widgets, but no background? Instead u can try Boostspeed by Auslogics. It changes settings, to maximize your PC performance. U can give it a try, im sure it has more effect then "removing your background"

Changing your background to a solid color is the equivalent of not having a background.

You can't not have a background, something has to be there.

Removing your background however, will not free up that many resources. Unless you're switching from a huge resolution picture, it wont make that big of a difference.

Ok thanks, I use AMD Fusion for gaming to turn all the extra stuff off. Ty for the Boostspeed link, am taking a look at that now.
