If this is the case, they can't really get in trouble... They aren't hosting the files, they simply index the torrents.
What makes me mad is there are quite a few torrent sites out there that make you pay for membership and Pirate Bay is free (from what I know) and those other sites aren't getting in trouble at all!
If Pirate Bay moves to an Offshore Host (if they aren't on one already) they probably wouldn't have this going on...
I also hear that BitTorrent is run by the government... They should've noticed downloads from all these other servers... Goes to show you what a crappy government we got.

Its like suing google for having an index of some identity theft site. Google has no hand in the identity theft site just index's it.
I hope they get a retrial. That is ridiculous.

Technically, they aren't moving the data, and therefore they should not be able to be sued by law. It is just an index. They are being charged for copyright infringement though, which if they delved into the law, they might be able to sneak around it.
I like to see people reap their rewards, but I know many people pirate things for different reasons, especially software/games. The internet is changing times, to say the least.

Torrentspy is down for more than a year already my friend xD, but ye there are tons of alternatives, however ive read that the piratebay TRACKER tracks about 90% of the torrent-p2p, someone would have to take that over.
