I want to do a virgin reinstall on my Toshiba laptop. I did this once before using the provided recovery disks (there are two, both labeled Recovery and Applications/Drivers). This time, however, I would like to use a replacement Vista disk (OEM) that I got from Microsoft. I want a clean application without the trash software.

My questions are: Am I going to run into problems using this other disk? It and the recovery disks are both Vista Home Premium 32-bit. I am mainly concerned about drivers, since there is not a separate disk labeled just drivers. Also, should I reformat the hard drive before reinstalling, or let the new disk do it?

Thanks.

As long as you have the drivers disk, you should have no problems
Let Vista reformat

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around

I don't have a stand alone drivers disk, as I said, two recovery disks with the drivers, OS, software, and everything else.

Not sure with Toshiba, but one disk should be the OS and the other, the drivers and what not
You can also download the drivers from their support site
