I have a desktop I built about 2 months ago, I have Vista Home Premium 32-bit, and the computer specs are:
Case: Sunbeam Silent Storm
CPU: AMD Phemon II 9950 Black Edition Processor, 2.6GHz Quad Core
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-MA790GP-UD4H ATX AMD HDMI AM2+
Video Card: Biostar VA4673NH51 Radeon HD 4670 512MM 128-bit GDDR3 PCI-E 2.0
Hard Drive: Western Digital 640GB 16MB Caviar Blue 7200 RPM SATA
Memory: Kingston HyperX 4GB DDR 1066

DVD Drive: Lite-On 22x DVD Burner w/ Lightscribe, SATA
PSU: BFG Tech 550W ATX SLI/Crossfire Ready
Wireless Adapter: Netgear WN311T Wireless Draft-N Adapter
When I shut the computer down it vista goes ahead and does its normal shutdown thing, takes a little longer than I'd like but it does do what its supposed to, but then I get a black screen when it finishes that and should be off, but the computer is still running. When I start up this is the message I get:
Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.0.6001.2.1.0.768.3
Locale ID: 1033
Additional information about the problem:
BCCode: fe

BCP2: 00000006
BCP3: 00000005
BCP4: 8842D000
OS Version: 6_0_6001
Service Pack: 1_0
Product: 768_1
Files that help describe the problem:
C:\Windows\Minidump\Mini041909-01.dmp
C:\Users\Mick\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-115097-0.sysdata.xml
C:\Users\Mick\AppData\Local\Temp\WER6B4.tmp.version.txt
The last file just says:
Windows NT Version 6.0 Build: 6001 Service Pack 1

Edition: HomePremium
BuildString: 6001.18226.x86fre.vistasp1_gdr.090302-1506
Flavor: Multiprocessor Free
Architecture: X86
LCID: 1033
In event viewer these are the 2 main things I found, in the Security Logs,
Code integrity determined that the image hash of a file is not valid. The file could be corrupt due to unauthorized modification or the invalid hash could indicate a potential disk device error.
File Name: \Device\HarddiskVolume1\Windows\System32\drivers\tcpip.sys
And in the Application Logs,
Event filter with query "SELECT * FROM __InstanceModificationEvent WITHIN 60 WHERE TargetInstance ISA "Win32_Processor" AND TargetInstance.LoadPercentage > 99" could not be reactivated in namespace "//./root/CIMV2" because of error 0x80041003. Events cannot be delivered through this filter until the problem is corrected.
This issue is a pretty regular problem when shutting down, but sometimes it will just reboot instead. I don't know if the issue is related, but the startup time is pretty long too, about 140 seconds from off to booted up, and I have only the startup programs I need set to boot. Anyone have any suggestions?
